Just about all the early Dry Lakes photos show the cars with the hoods and no fenders. To me the hoods make the cars look like race cars, no hood = broken, or being worked on.
Here is a picture of mine................still waiting for the motor to come back, and now it's not in black anymore.
Not an "A" but I'm all about that look too, my '31 coupe will be built the same way, and I'll louver the decklid too.
The one nice thing about the hood..............doesn't take long to take off..........about 5 minutes and you can show off what's underneath............. IMHO
I like how Clarks turned out... and I'll be doing something similar... minus the nice paint, fit and finish.
