I think there's always a handful of these guys at every show isn't there. I scanned this out of an old issue of CARtoons today. I've been collecting old issues and scanning the covers the iron ons and just odds and ends that I like. I'd love to share some more of em if anyone has any interest in em. Of course if you guys feel that they're to far off topic I'll just shut up and keep em to myself.
TOTALLY TRUE!!!!! Last show I was at, the fat *** had to tell me all about my car. Good thing he was there or I wouldn't have known what my car was, and that no one liked them. Why do these guys always weigh about 300#???
That guy was at a local cruise in the other night... Lucky for me he informed me that my Studebaker had a chevy engine in it (It's got the original flathead Stude 6 in it). He also clued me in that Studebaker was owned by Nash and formed American Motors with Studebaker engineers. I think he drove a Kia...
That cartoon is right on the money !!! When some **** makes one of those comments to me , I ask them where their car is so I can see what perfection looks like ? Or , how many do you have at home like this ? Usual reply is "Oh , I don't have one " or " None " I swear to God it happened yesterday , guy was at my house putting a new windshield in one of my cars and says "Too bad this ain't a 4 speed , I guess these ain't worth much with an automatic " I said how many do you have at home ? He said none and got kind of pissed , so I told him well it's probably worth about $30,000 and that's an awful lot of money to me . People should keep it to themselves if they don't have something nice to say .
These ****s arent just at the shows. Yesterday some guy told me it was a shame that my Comet wont be restored and that I sould have kept the auto instead of swapping it for a Four Speed........................he was driving a Honda.
true then, true now, true tomorrow...those kinda guys are like ****roaches...they are everywhere and ya can't seem to get rid of them

I'm glad you guys got a kick out of that! The artist had obviously been to his share of car shows. I scanned that out of an issue from 81 that had a cool cover with art that wrapped on around to the back. CARtoons was an awesome comic that really had it's finger on the pulse of what was going in the world of hot rodding. I'm up to well over 200 scans so far (and I still have another stack to go through). I'll see if I can't find another that's HAMB appropriate to share with everyone tomorrow. Thanks guys!
Those guys are getting old by now...I had an A Vicky about 25 years ago. A guy goes by with his son,, taps it on the rear corner and tells the son how this was a new gl*** body, yada, yada. I just let him go. Clueless usually remains clueless, even when corrected.
aceuh, Thanks for scanning this cartoon! Im printing it out and putting it in my garage.....saw a guy like that today at a curise and he drove off in a suburu.....what a F&*! thanks again!
Those guys are everywhere! .......... I love Cartoons. I wish someone would do like a best of Cartoons book!
Heh heh heh. Anyone else ever have to explain to someone where the MOROSO engine in their car came from????
I like in the forth frame, there's a guy with a big *** wrench being held back. They should have let him go...
My Terraplane is mostly MOPAR parts and I used the Pentastar emblems for my third brake light and front turn signal lights. I love it when some old guys come up and ask what year my Chrysler is or there is your cl***ic old Chrysler. I also have a Roadrunner decal on the cowl.
