Garage Sale (Score)

Got a couple of distributors today and was hoping to get some info on them.
1. Mallory-Double lite YC 310 HP

2.Mallory YL 445 HP

YC == Chevrolet 350
YL == Ford 289 -351 etc

 

Thanks,I guess I was lucky because I will be able to use both the YC will possibly work for my sbc and the YL will work for my son's 302.
Will the YC work for a 283?

 

Yes, the 310 will work in any small or big block Chevy; however, the '55-'56 engines had a flat on the distributor housing that was part of the oiling system, so watch out for oiling problems in an early block.
