Found some six hole fifteen by six and a half inch spoke wheels at the s**** yard other day they each have nine spokes that appear to simulate wood spokes. They were originally chrome plated Just wondered what they came off of. RMAC

Sounds like some 70s design aftermarket wheels maybe? The original 6 lug wheels used on Chevy cars thru 1948 were not nearly that wide...and they were 16" or larger.

A picture or two would sure help, but 15" wheels are fairly recent, like the 50's onward, may be an old custom job.

May be Jumbo Giant wheels from the 1930's POST PHOTOS! Six lug wheels were a GM feature.

There was another chromed aftermarket wheel that looked similar but different, I think it was a Cragar but I can't remember the name. A friend had some on his delivery in the long ago 1990s.

The wheel in the photo in a new production item, real Jumbos from the '30's have short stubby spokes riveted to rim and center hub.

Mopars all had five-lug wheels, as did all of the independents in the '30s through the '60s. Other six-luggers would've been Chevy trucks, Chevy cars through 1948, and (I believe) some Internationals

  12. A company called Jackman made wheels with simulated wood spokes in the 70's with both 5 & 6 lug patterns. 5 lugs were marketed into the resto rod market, 6 lugs into thte truck market. I don't believe they were in business for more than a few years.
