Event Coverage Jalopy Showdown Drag 2008 Pictures

Shot a few pictures from the drags yesterday. It was my first time attending a showdown event and now I can't wait until May......

Thanks for the photos. We really wanted to have the Fiat ready for this event, but it just wasn't meant to be. It would have been a long tow from Georgia for a rainy day.
Good to see EJ Kowalski had his rear engine coupe out.

Great pics Tim...I have posted mine in another thread. It is amazing how the drag pics taken from the other side of the track ( spectators were on the tower side ) look just so much cooler.
Usually, I kind of hope that my car ends up in at least one photo somewhere. It was dirty as **** from driving in the rain....and you put in 4 pics of the dirty pig .......thanks

 

Great race and great time! We had a blast. Little wet and cold on the scooters but it was well worth it. We plan on being there next year! Top notch Larry

 

Don't worry my truck had to be just as muddy.... I had to get a few pictures of your coupe just for reference. If I ever get around to painting the truck I might try using the flex like in your paint job.


I wish I would have took some pictures while driving there.... Lets just say the rain-x wasn't working on my windshield....

Thanks a lot for posting the pics. After last year's Showdown, I was really looking forward to this year. Unfortunately, we had a last-minute change of plans.
Looks like twice as many people were there. Soooo sorry we missed it!...............Woody

Great shots, I especially like the ones where the guys are lines up agaist each other. Don Moyer and Littleman are always fun to watch and that white Corvette looks bad ***. Thanks for sharing.
