Lincoln push buttons

Discussion in 'The Hokey Ass Message Board' started by Bluedscrewed&tattooed, Mar 7, 2008.

  1. If they replace the original 48 Lincoln Buttons i'll take mine out of my 48 Continental & save them using the repro's.

Are you also thinking of reproducing the interior push buttons?

I'll post a pic of the orignals for HELLMET tomorrow.

  2. Here's a picture of the real ones on my 48 Continental.

  3. Are you selling the just the button or the button and ring? Are you also offering the the mechanism or at least a diagram of it for us to reproduce?

i was the one selling the repops a while back. they are FULL high grade stainless construction and BETTER than originals by far. ask anyone who bought them. the guy who did them has moved since i got the last batch and between working way to much and just not being focused enough due to life stuff i haven't been able to get up with him about doing another batch. i'm leaving my job and focusing more on this stuff as of this week. if he's still around to make more i'll have a batch again soon. i keep them very limited. i don't want to see them everywhere. thats why i sold a coupla dozen sets and then didn't mess with them for a coupla years. unfortunatly i sold my own set last time so if the guy is gone i don't even have those to take to someone else to reproduce. mine were $135 a set shipped to any US address. the price of stainless has went up in since i last had some made but if i couldn't keep them under $150 a set i won't be doing them.

i'd be very interested in seeing your version for sure. always nice to have another option. my only hope is for them not to be overdone and you see them everywhere.

i also looked into doing a locking version but it raised the price WAY to much. and if you use the buick lock assemblies that alot of folks use with them it looks good anyhow...ken....

Whoever makes a set first let us know so we can get them. I've wanted some for a while now and I don't even know what I'll put them on but I'll put 'em on something....screen door....shower. The possibilities are endless.
