SO ME AND MY BROTHER IN LAW DID THE DASH IN MY TRUCK THIS PAST WEEKEND THE HOLE INSIDE OF TRUCK WILL LOOK LIKE THIS WHEN IM DONE IM IN TO THE OLD SCHOOL BOMBER'S SO THE INSIDE OF MY TRUCK WILL LOOK LIKE ONE THIS IS WHAT IT LOOKED LIKE SOME WHAT IN STEPS!! WHEN I GOT IT THIS IS WHEN I SAND BLASTED IT THIS IS SAND BLASTED AND THIS IS WHAT WE DID !!!!!!!!!! PUTTING THE Metallic Silver DOWN STARTING THE RUST COLORS THE NEXT DAY ADDING BLACK TO GET IT ALL DONE THIS IS WHAT IT LOOKS LIKE ALL DONE TILL I START AGAIN
That would be AWESOME. I really like the old bomber look on your truck. Nice sandblasting too by the way. It looks like your masking help up pretty well during the blasting. When I blast around sensitive areas (gl***, chrome) for my customers, I use strips (sometimes sheets) of rubber inner tube with a light two sided tape. The rubber is the best masking material i've found so far. Duct tape works too but leaves that nasty residue.
I was a sandblaster for a long time i did alot of house's and cars. i just run it the way i did house's lol thanks alot man !!!!! -BEAR!
great idea and great execution! I learned how to drive in a 60 ford pickup that my Dad picked up for 75 bux...have always thought about picking one up for sentimental reasons...
Lotta work to make it look like it needs a lotta work. Along those same lines, old bombers are aluminum as are the rivets. Artistically speaking, you get an A. Practically, ok, but you're gonna get a lot of questions on what's up. Gotta admit, when I tuned in I was expecting something along the lines of Ryan's recent JJ post on aircraft panels. And maybe that's the idea, shock the onlookers a touch. Different be good, but not always imho....
Yeah. A lot of good artsy work went into that, I totally dig that, work looks great, but I don't get what it's supposed to be. A Ford pickup? Not a Ford pickup?
