What is the pertronix part # for a mallory dual point distributor for a 8ba flathead? Is going the pertronix route better than running points on one of these motors?

I am running a dual point Mallory on my late flathead and I am more than pleased with the performance....never a stumble......

But there is an electronic unit available.....Speedway has them, for example
( it's an MSD unit though) Check that out here:

Personally I hate the *look* of that electronic dizzy cap.....and you also have to have that *box* I am pretty sure...agggghh.....not what I'd want on a traditional stlye flathead powered car.......

    Hope this helps some....

What do you have the gaps set at on the points, cuznbrucie? My truck accelerates great and all is well, until I get up to about 3500 rpm and then then I have a miss that kinda sounds like valve float or a rev limiter or something and then it clears up and I can rev it to the moon with no problems. I bought the distributor from speedway to put on my fresh motor, and I had the condensor **** out on me within the first 50 miles. I am also running 2 holley 94 carbs w/ 4.5 powervalves and .051 jets. What are you running for carbs? Thanks bro!
