cutting glass on 54 chevy

I tried the search function and did not find what i was looking for ( before you ask).I am chopping a 54 chevy and I know that there is a guy here who can do the front but it is my understanding that the rear is tempered and cannot be cut.Is this true?. If it is true,what are the guys doing that are cutting down the back gl*** because i have seen a bunch of pics online of cars with cutdown back gl***.Are they in fact cutting down the back gl***.If so,who is doing this ( name,number), or are they having new gl*** made ( who,where,name,number).I have also heard of sinking it into the rear deck.I have looked and I really don't understand how this is acheived.Does anyone have any good pics and details about how to do this.I know how I want to do it, but if I cannot cut the rear gl*** or get a new one the kind of screws up my plan.I appreciate any help you guys can give me here.

I dont know who can do it, but they are making new safety rear gl*** that can be cut.. and some people use lexan.. like me i made my back window fram wider and had to go with lexan.. and i regret it now

 

Who makes the lexan windows and why do you regret it.Thanks for the reply.
