"A" Drag Coupe?........pic

I'm planning g a 'Drag Version of my car in the Future...these are some of things I want to do...

if I had that car (Drag Version)I would rise the front for that slight drag stance..., Chrome Roll bar,Chrome Nerf bar for the front holding a moon tank, Chrome push bar for the rear, white Wall Slicks, Full hood with custom headers comming out the sides

It looks good the way it is, I like shiney metal! I'd go with a black chassis and orange paint. But if you gotta have a white chassis, then purple paint is the balls

 

well you could do a lot with just wheels and tires,12 spoke front skinneys(with or without brakes,)18" spindle mounts with no brakes would be the sheit,and chrome reverse out back with pie crust slicks,or magneisem wheels,tube push start type rear bumper,zoomies,shoot,moon tank,tunnel ram with stacks,maybe jack up the front a bit(for weight transfer..ha ha)ditch the b/gas,

 

I do think its very bitchen like it is

 

the car that came to mind when i saw royals...was a chopped blue and white fendered coupe with that style of cap ...owned by some w!@#$% bros. possibly channeled as well....will have to look for a pic... took my a "drag coupe" out tonight for a little drag race action....no action other than spinning....and about 7 tenths off et wise and 3 mph off....60' were 3 tenths off as well...oh well try it agian next weekend with the cheater slicks back on ......brandon

 

Thanks a lot pricks, I've been trying to focus on three vehicle projects and setting up a shop in my new house, now I really NEED a coupe. Damn you all!!!!

does any one have any more info or pics of the a sedan with 313 painted on the door, the pics were posted by rootie kazootie, i love it! i saw that same pic in an aniversary edition of hot rod magazine many years ago. i cant get it out of my head! iv got a line on a nice sedan body, i wanna do a loose clone of it

 

I got the pic from that anniv. edition. That is the Shreve Automotive B/Altered at the 1960 Nats. in Detroit. A long time back there was some discussion here, involving that car, and I kept the pic. on my computer since. Maybe do a search for Shreve Automotive and see what comes up.

What color paint? Well with the white chassis, and being as you're going for an earlier gasser type thing, I'd say straight med. brown, not candy, maybe fine metallic. plain ol' chevy orange OR, a champagne color, THAT would look great with the white and very legit for the time....

 

i once talked a guy that was buddy's with a couple of the shrieve guys , and knew about "the tank" ....i later talked to boogie scott (sp) about the car but he claimed it wasn't his but had something to do with it....i think dave mc clealand (sp) was also in there somewhere as well...and his fiat was something in the mix too.... it has been one of my favorite sedans for years...hopefully someone will post more shots of it... brandon

Those headers are cool.....really basic...like a drag car should be.

Dark blue & Gold and I like the idea of the ass being a bit lower...... Channeled maybe? What about slicks like the Satan coupe?
