Hi Ive been offered to buy this dashboard for my model A hot rod project for about 20-30 dollars.I really like it and i´ll probably buy it no mather where it comes from but it would be fun to now what car it´s originaly are from.Anybody knows??According to the seller its a dashboard from a -27 Auburn but i don´t agree with him. It´s about 150 centimeters wide. /Vincent
Is the brown primer or rust??? That sure looks like a fiberglass streetrod dash with slightly miniaturized molded copy of Auburn panel... If it is real anything, it should have some holes for instruments...and the crude notch looks like the material is very thick... It it is what I think, it is a recent part made for Model rods. The crusty finish looks like old metal, but everything else seems to indicate glass, and your description seems to imply it is thought to be old.
That is a fiberglass streetrod part. If the gray is the original gel coat then it probably is an AI (Anderson Industries) piece. I think they made a dash with the smaller Auburn-ish style insert.
Tommy's correct. We did produce a modified '27 roadster dash with a shorter styled Auburn cluster because a stock sized one was thought to eat up too much leg room in a roadster that didn't have much to spare.
Youre guys are right, ive talked with the seller and he confirmed that it´s a fiberglass dashboard so i´m not intrested in it anymore.
