Greetings, Last minute me and the Fiddy can make it up to morris from Stl. Dont feel like staying 40 miles away, or dropping a bunch of coin on a room. So far it seems there will be primitive camping at the fairgrounds, sounds like fun, really, i mean it. Anyone got more details/experience on this, please share. Ive also found a few other places. Gebhard Woods State Park In town, primitive, you gotta camp about a 1/3 of a mile hike from your ride. There is availability, 1st come 1st serve. Waupecan Valley Park About 8 miles south of town. Availability for tents. Showers and bathrooms. If i dont stay at the fairgrounds, im thinking this might be the place to go. I talked to Florence, she sounded nice. Illini State Park 20 miles west in M****illes. All i got was a recording. Sites are open, as well as showers. The last option is the backseat of your/my car in the parking lot of the Red Cent/Days Inn/Holiday Inn. So, who else going homeless for the pileup?... Anybody camped at any of these places before?.... Got some place you wanna add?.... Thanks, A
Stayed at the Waupecan park last year They will not tollerate loudness or partying. Its well kept and surronds her house, Her daughter and her family live in the next house. I would definatly stay there again.
You can pitch a tent in the parkinglot.. just north of the main gate along the fence .. we will have a porta pottie out there for campers. come see me when you get in.. no fires though.
We are gonna be there in a motorhome.4 in our group and I think my neighbors buddy will be there with another motorhome. We are gonna have our own little party in the lot at the race track. Hope to be there by 9 pm with lots of ****tails!!!
I'll be heading down Saturday and plan to camp in the parking lot. This will be my first pile up so any advice or suggestions would be helpful
i have a room at the holiday inn that depending on what i find out tomorrow may have room on the floors if interested. i just gotta see if a friend is coming
Koool.... I figured there would be others, looks like we might have quite a booom town spring up on the outskirts of the show. Whos bringing the grill?.....
I ended up with a nice camping spot, though a couple of trees to hang my hammock from would of been nice. Met some koool folks. Anybody know what happened to the canadian who went by the name 'drunk donny'.... Wow. The red cent was great, the bands tore it up, the cars were rad, the beer and bathroom lines were short, and the hosts were friendly. Coulnt ask for more. The weather, well.... I got a bit of sunburn. Most of all.... Just wanted to say thanks to the Czars, all the volunteers who make it work, and everyone who brought their ride. I had a blast. Ive gots some pics to add to the pile sooon. Thanks, A
