But in all seriousness, we really should set it up for Saturday at like 1 or 2 pm. Is there designated parking? Can we call dibs on a HAMB village like the Auto Fair? It would be cool if we could get most of our cars in the same area. I know SINTICKET, BLOODYKNUCKLES and myself will be parked near eachother.

WHAT ABOUT MEETING UP FOR BREAKFAST (HAMB and EGGS) before we go to the show?

    Perfect.

  6. I'm in! I'll be coming in from Burlington (Dad's). He is having a few issues with the '38, so it's not coming!

I guess I'll be bringing the micro-gasser! I finished it up last night! Not too fast but it's great in traffic!

  7. Well I've been itching to go to this show for the last 5 years, I figure now that I live minutes from it, how can I not go! I'm bringing me, the fiance and the child....I'm looking forward to hopefully meeting up with you guys, I doubt i'll fit in, but hey, i'll be the big bald guy in a dickies shirt and camo shorts if you see me say hi...plus I'm trying to get a 32 sedan model built for the model car show thats going down too. Hope to see you guys there...

  8. Welcome to NC Retro! I've got family not far from you! Really nice area and easy to find rod activities on that side of the state.

    Looking forward to meeting you!

We all drove up to North Wilkesboro last weekend for the apple festival. Pretty cool town and was definitely cool taking a few cool cars to drive through the pretty scenery. Any connection to the car in your avatar? It'll be cool to meet you at the show.

    LMAO!
Looks like we have the start of a LOGO for the GMB!
    :D

  11. Count me out for a tshirt!

  12. nah no connection to the car..just one of many that i'm fond of.. Wilkesboro ain't bad to visit, just don't live there. I took my little girl to the apple fest. last year, just me and her by ourselves cause momma was in drug rehab. anyway I was glad to leave, that town sucked...

looks like its a no go for me going to the show, my ex(no longer my fiance as earlier noted) doesn't see the point in me going to the show since I don't have the money(becuase of her child support check cause she doesn't care to try to work) and that I need to get over the fact that i've been wanting to go so bad, but she's still going to spend my money to come down to t charlotte to see me that weekend? I also get to miss out on my Nine Inch Nails concert because of her....oh life is freaking grand...sorry guys I was really looking forward to it. At least I get to see my little girl for a few days, that more important now than anything to me.

Hope things turn around soon for you. Good to see your priorities are in order, take care of that little girl. Don't blink! They grow up WAAAAAAY too fast! I've got 2 girls born yesterday, now they're 16 and 13!

Wish I had the time to make it a four-day! Have fun and take in all you can. Razzou's is a cool place to eat out by Concord Mills, if you're into pseudo-Cajun food!

We plan on rollin' in on Friday w/ the ol' lady's Falcon wagon. Got stuck in the mud field last year. Gonna try to find some real estate this year w/ some pavement.

  16. Thanks man...hey i'm from Greenville! how long have you lived in the town of many ecu sorostitutes? I moved from there 3 years ago, used to hang out with alot of the car guys there, went to slamsession a few times...you might have even seen my old non-hamb friendly car around town.

Thanks for the words encouragement...i'm feeling a level of hurt that I've never felt before in my life, not even when my mom died 2 years ago.

Alright so when are we meeting up? I think the South East Guys are the most unorganized son of a bitches ever. My vote is for 12-2pm on Saturday. If anyone else has a better idea go ahead and spit it out. I have been trying to find a banner but I'm afraid I am now a bit late to get one made. Be prepared to look for a bunch of paper plates fashioned together to form a ghetto HAMB sign.

  18. JefferyJames, check with Delton about a meet and greet at BigOs garage.

BTW...Spain is awesome!!! I´ll check back in soon.

  20. I can´t believe we´ll just miss each other. Damn it´s nice here.

Back up for those interested in a great show.

  21. I'll be strolling around the show on foot since my '54 still needs a ton of work to get her down there..It would still be cool to meet up with you guys so I'll be on the lookout for the HAMB banner or paper plate sign whichever one it ends up being!! Hopefully next year the '54 can make it down....

  22. Whoever gets there on Friday can take plastic cups and spell out HAMB in the chain link fence around the infield! HeHeHe!

Seriously, 12-2 sounds great! I was looking at a map of the infield and thought somewhere around the turn 3 tunnel entrance would be good! Early arrivers could secure a convenient, if not obvious, spot for the group!

I'll be on foot with my shoulder in a sling and the micro-gasser in tow. Looking forward to meeting y'all!

    See ya' Saturday!

Thanks, I created the Rainbow logo in a Illustrator so I have one... sort of.

Yesterday I had a banner made (3' x 5') so that we will have an official Meet & Greet location. Thanks to OddrodGarage for the banner! I am nominating 12-2 pm for us to meet on Saturday. If that sounds good let us know.

I am not privy to that information seeing how I am not a an IRON LORD. But maybe me and the Cupcakes will throw a rival party and see which is better. I talked to Del and he told me to PM Big O.

I had mentioned all of the HAMB member that are going early on Saturday meeting up and going out to breakfast before so that we can all roll in together and park next to each other.

A spot for us to park or us to meet for breakfast? That I am not sure of as of yet. I suppose between turn 3-4 in the raceway. That should keep us out of the mudd in case there is any. I'll run that by BLOODYKNUCKLES. As for the breakfast, I will pitch the idea to the guys around here and get a good feel for a place.

  28. Sooo... are you saying that NC represents the "rainbow coalition" of the HAMB???
