wish i knew some hambers would be there...could have met up or suttin.

it was a good day, had some nice comments on my bike, weather was good, racing was good, cars were good, and there were even a few nice looking ladys there too.

Thanks for the snaps. Saw Marcellus and Borsch race at Lions the very first time I went to the drags..... Still cool after all these years. *****'n dragster, too. Really gorgeous. Did it run? Doesn't look to me like it could p*** current tech, but I am no expert.....

 

Dragster was a complete resto done by Pat Foster(shown in pic)The car was the JADE GRANADE .. a mennice on the east coast in the 60's ... beating the pants of anyone in it's path.

The T/F is a exhibition run car at this point...

Who is gonna be behind the wheel of the Shady Glenn car? I remember when Jim Adolff(sp?) was driving it some 10 years ago. That silver and hot pink paint job was beautiful!!!

Pat Foster fired the Jade Grenade in the parking lot of a hotel at the Hot Rod reunion right after he finished it...AWESOME!!!

Hats off to the dragster guys that let Mousie borrow the tires and wheels to make that run and meet his commitment to the fans and track. Mousie's doing his damned best to keep that altered in front of as many fans as possible. I hear Mike Boyd still hasn't learned that lane choice is supposed to be made BEFORE the run! Altered drivers always had trouble with that rule.

Thanks for the pics. Helps when there isn't a damned thing going on around here.

Wonderfull shot of the winged one there will always be a soft spot in my heart for AA/FA's. I think that drag racing is not the same without them.Someday The winged express will be gone, I thank the lord I got to see it up close before that happens.
