Im going tomorrow to pull a manual Column from a 67 f250 to go into my 65 f100 power steering truck... So While I was out there I was going to pull a power steering Shaft from a mid 70s f100.... according to another fourm site... The column is already the right length... and I just need to swap the shafts out... sounds easy enough... but Ive never done it..

What is the best way to remove the shaft and steering wheel from the 67 and mid 70s ford and re install the 70s shaft and 67 steeringwheel in and onto the 67 column?

    What tools will I need?
    Thanks

pretty straight forward. If I remember right, you'll need some snap ring pliers.Maybe some little allen wrenches. And steering wheel puller, a harmonic balancer puller works good but you'll need longer bolts. Seems like 5/16 fine thread. I would take an ***ortment of lengths. Other than that, normal stuff you'd have in your tool box.
There is a little dog knot on the top of the later steering shaft that you will have to hacksaw off to get your original horn ****on back on.
