Eye and ear hearing protection? How is the kid gonna learn without hurting himself? Okay... more pics now but I what to see him laying some mean beads with the TIG.
I think it's very cool to have little helper learning from the ground up, no pun intended. What's the little ones dream car? He would look good in the car below: CRUISER
Right on Bro! I am in Rocklin as well. I recently aquired a 53 210 and cant stay away from her. Maybe I'll see ya around.
letting him help instead of keeping him out of your way, thats cool dad. i figure i better let my 5 yr. old help me out too, i am such an a**hole that in ten years he will be the only person who will be able to tolerate working with me.
bad idea to show him how to use power tools. because when he wants that car that he helped build and you say NO im sure he will know what tool to use to knock you off and make it look like an accident...hahhaha its always nice to see father son stuff..
Man you are makin me jealous my little boy is only 14 months old and he can't quite be in the garage yet helpin me out but i can't wait.Me and my dad never had that and he wasn't around alot growin up cause he drove truck and still does but i want to do things like this with my son cause I want him to know there is nothin in the world better than havin your dad by your side and one day i would like to hand the keys over to him for my hotrod.
Thats about the age I started taking things apart, it didn't always please my dad esp. when I became a car painter and touched up all the knicks and scratches on his Buick , oops.
Gloves too I see. How old is the big guy? My younger daughter took an interest in garage stuff, dirt bikes, hot rods at a young age. She was great about helping and about age 7 she knew the names of all the common tools and could usually find the weird ones. I really miss her when I'm under the car, no matter how many tools I take with me.... At last years airport drags: In the staging lanes: She was bummed that they shut down right in front of her turn to make a run.
