What happens when you realize the 32 you own needs a bit of an update? Most people will pull it down and give it a freshen. Most..... just not Cragar! He started with this. Something that had evolved from what he had first bought, but it didn't satisfy that deep down itch. So why not rebody it!!! Fund the freshen up with a quick sale of the old body and do it all at home! Easy huh, haven't we all said/heard that before. Let the fun begin... Now I don't have many build pics only a few sneak peeks Cragar let out and I'm doing this post as he isn't the most computer savvy when it comes to pics but he will no doubt fill in any details I may miss! So here it is about a year or so ago... mocked up. Getting closer... Seem to have lost the ones of the bare ch***is, anywho. Done! It may seem brief but two odd years have p***ed. Now what happened to the old body I hear you ask?.... In steps 63Compact! The origanl plan was to put his A coupe on this ch***is (as featured in Maiki's pinup calender, January) but with summer fast approaching a decision was made to do the old switch-a-roo! This he kept hidden right up until January this year when he finally let the cat out of the bag. Cragar used some choice words when he found out but was first to ride in his well sort of old car.... So now the two 32's born of one... There will be some serious build shots put up eventually but these are just to whet the appe***e and for the few who asked for some pics...
Jase made mention of his 32 when i last saw him at the ballarat swap, cool to finally see pics of it. look forward to seeing it in the flesh.
NICE NICE NICE !! But tell Cragar he needs to lose those radials man......lmao ! Seriously, very nice work, well done boys !! Rat
Just like twins very nice. I am just dissapointed cragar got rid of the sport truck TA's. Will we see them at Bright
I see Compact has put one of those triples adaptors to good use. Looks like a hot rod to me! Good colour scheme, though I'd still put a hood on the donk.
Found a shot of Cragar's rolling ch***is.. As for answers to the questions, you'll have to wait for the boys to get on.... Ben's this weeks out for the visa thing, too much on. But very soon...
To answer your questions the burgundy body needed half the floor cut out and a **** load other stuff doing to get the look I wanted you can,t see it in the pix but it sits 4" lower in the bum plus alot of other things and Jase wanted that body so we did a deal all happy Ben I have to do a wedding this Saturday but I will try to get Jase @ Brett together and make the treck a up for a coffee shortly
Well now the cats out of the bag the burgundy body has a few dents and stuff as it is a 20+ year old gl*** body and Cragar wanted Black so he figured might as well put the time in on a new body. I personally like the dents and the stock look firewall it keeps people guessin'. As for the triples adaptor its only running on the centre at the moment i gotta get longer ****erfly shafts but seems OK. When photo bucket stops ****in I got a heap of build pics. Now back to the shed to fix the pinion seal......
