I bought this box of Parker Hand Beading Tools #416 when me and Jr was on one of our excursions. Anybody ever use them and can tell me about them?

Yup Great thing..... don't get your beard caught in it

    1. Grease up everything real good I use Lubriplate (until my supply runs out)

    2. Sneak up on the bump...... don't try to do it in one turn

    3. The itty-bitty tip gets stuck in -3 tube

    4. You can use the big one to do water necks as long as you remember #2

Works well on all metals ............. not cast iron

Amazzzzze your friends with the level of your professional skill :D

I ustta get mine from an aircraft surplus lst time I got one it was $18.50 might have been the year too!

I purchased my set a couple of years ago for $150. They are invaluable for doing the hard line that we use for the fuel and water on our dragsters.

    Larry,
That is a pretty valuble tool, you use to be able to find them in the aircraft surplus places in So. Cal ,the last ones I saw at Earls back in the 70s were for sale for around $15-20. And of course I didn't buy one!!! Pretty hard to find now and they are better than almost anything that is available now. They were used in the aircraft industry for fuel lines and air lines. Great tool if you happen to want to sell let me know or if you find any more also. I have a Marine aircraft mechanics flaring and beading kit from WWII that goes from 3/16 to 1/2 inch but the Parker tool will do large tubing. Makes neat beads.

Someone's repoping them, haven't used a new one though. Very $$$$ as I recall (for the new ones) either Browns or ATS advertised them.

Every now and then they are listed in Trade-A-Plane. I used them when I was with the airlines and the Parker version can't be beat. I made sets of dies for my bead roller that go down to 1" ID tubing. Below that I need the Parker tool.
