Very cool, nice work. This just goes to show you that you can do it if you really want it. It does help to have some talent like you. Most guys get nervous when it come to interior work or electrical work. Very cool...................

Nice, wow! I can barely sew a hole in a sock. That is one hell of a successful first interior.

Holy **** that's awesome! I hope mine looks half that good when I'm done with it. Except I have a 4 door and a big Desoto. This method might not work, but I think I can figure out how to adapt it. It sure looks nicer than the bows. Once again, GREAT job, it's beautiful!!!

Yes, I realize that it is not original, but I like it. I want to do a 50s style rolled & pleated interior on my 52, but I don't think I have the talent you have.

I know what you mean I always wanted to do my own paint, interior, minor engine work. I bought my machine before I could control the speed, I got $200 over cost for restoring a car. So I couldn’t afford to do much of that. If I make it until tomorrow I will be 62. I never had an interest in doing upholstery for a living. I really didn’t want to work on other people’s cars I just like doing my own. I always had more cars then license plates back in the 60’s I’m legal now in my old age.

Thanks to all for all the compliments. I impressed myself! The best decision I made about using the Junkyard Toronado seat (besides that it looks cool) was that I was able to drive my car (with the existing seat) during the 3-4 months it took me to do the seats. Things like door panels, package tray, etc. don't need to be in the car to enjoy it, so that wasn't an issue.

I REALLY encourage everyone that is considering this type of project to check into the thread by Skipstich that I referred to earlier.

It is an awesome tech thread and without it I wouldn't have tried any of the interior myself. He does incredible work, and more importantly, he is generous enough to share the wealth of knowledge. Check out his work...

Okay you really got my attention with the spray gun from HF, just used a paint gun or what? Remember years back talking with an upholsterer and he showed me an $800- glue pot and gun. So I ended up using rattle can glue which tends to fail especially with glued on headliners.

  19. You did a really great job on the interior.I picked up my phaff up at an auction years back and paid a $100 for it.A $1200 machine.I love roll and tucked interiors and yours looks great.:)

YEP....this thread (including SkipS***ch's original) have been the most motivational things I've seen on the HAMB for MONTHS!!!!!! :D

  21. This is motivational. I want to do the exact same thing. I picked up a machine on craigslist and I just want to do stuff for all my friends and maybe some on the side. It just goes to show you that with practice and the courage to just do it, you can get **** done.

Great job! and you have the additional DIY satisfaction. Shows some artistic qualities that I lack.
