I'm about to paint some long, slick scallops on my wife's '49 Ford. Anyone got any pic's to give me some inspiration?

It'll be long sweaping ones around the wheelwells and around headlights and taillights as well as on top of the roof, trunk and hood.

If anyone has any pictures, please email them to me and i'd really appreciate it.

    Thanks / Hank

  2. There was a beautiful one in an issue of Rod and Custom somewhere circa 1993 to 1994. They (the scallops) only went just past the door, but the car was done in maroon with gold scallops. Someone may have a copy of that issue, or you may be able to contact the magazine.

This is probably the only shoebox I like with scallops. It does help that the rest of the car rules too!

    They came out very nice...
What about making some more photos showing the complete car in a nice 3/4 view.. front and rear.

Yeah, i'm gonna have a little photosession this weekend actually. I work for Gasoline Magazine you know, it's not really material for the mag. But, maybe a few "before and after" pics could be published. We'll see how they come out.

Funny how thing just kinda happen huh?
Found my 4-door car in a backyard around the corner...after a while a buddy wanted a nice 4-door as a Sunday driver. Found him another nice one with 32000 miles on it, (same color, same everything) and shipped it overseas. Was gonna sell mine too..but ended up giving it to my wife for christmas and wam, bam i shaved and painted it. Chromed everything and installed a new interior. Dig that funky headliner by the way!!

I'll lower it another 1" in the front, but part from that it's gonna stay like this for a while!

Have fun and listen to yourself, not other people.
