Very damn cool coupe alright. And yep even though it's a bit late model for me, it was my pc wallpaper for a while. My bro is uilding a 3 window and I am really hoping he goes this direction.
When you look at the car, there's really nothing overdone or super fancy about the car. It just has everything FINISHED to a higher level than most "driven" cars running around. Perfect? Maybe not,but very, very well executed construction and results. That's what I meant by," I couldn't stop looking at it". Not that I was looking for flaws, but that I was impressed by the quality of the car. The look, stance, engine, wheels, paint, interior, etc. Most of the time when you look at a car,you can come up with one or two(maybe more)things you would change,if it were yours. But I honestly couldn't see anything I could improve on,or even change, for that matter! In my top 5,"wish I owned it",cars.
It does in fact show up at events periodically here in Southern California. It is a remarkable car owned by a very nice young man who, from what I remember, built the entire car including the paint, himself. There is nothing on it to improve upon or change. Words cannot describe what its like to see it driving around on the streets. Amazing.
. That car grabbed me pretty hard when I first saw it. Definately a well thought out and detailed build.Would have to be one of about three favourite street driven 33/34 3 window coupes. I cannot have one favourite. I love this 3 wndow at the moment and can't get enough of this 5 window.
Just awesome..... How I envy some people. Not just for the car..., most of all for their skills. This guy made that thing all by himself. "applause"
I seconnd that it's chrome if you look really closely there is a shot of it at the top where you can see some chrome.Must have been the lighting..
I second that it's chrome if you look really closely there is a shot of it at the top where you can see some chrome.Must have been the lighting..
It's a nice car. The best ever? A contender, no doubt. That's a real strong statement but it takes nothing from the car or it's builder. I'm thinkin he did it for himself based on how well it's done, and keeps a high standard. I don't call it the "best ever" but the best I've seen in a while. I kept that issue of R&C handy. I like it.
The fact this Coupe was built in the backyard makes it even better. It's not the shop building cars,it's the PEOPLE.It's the best ever.
Plain and simple Robert Lomas is a bad ***!! Like ALex I have known Robert for a long time and he has always had and built cool cars. I think he pulled the 4 speed out and put a Lasalle ****** in not to long ago. Jimmy White P.s. Robert is a hell of a nice guy as well.
I remember the first time I saw this car. It's one of the handful that I've ever seen that I wouldn't change a thing. Absolutely *****in!
Yep, he's one of my favorite ex-Lonely Kings, and not just cuz he's got good taste and skills to boot. When I was walking the main building at the GNRS the year he debuted his coupe, I was just looking for the beer vendor at the time--but a**** the see of typical expen$ive **** that doesn't catch my eye, his car stood out like ******* dancer in church, ******* (and the results were the same--*****). My beer had to wait a good 20-30 minutes as I admired the car, not knowing it was his till finally peeking at the entry form. I hesitate to call any one particular car the "best" anything, but Robert's coupe is pretty close to being an exception to the rule.
I see it went up for sale. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/e...37;3AMEWA:IT&viewitem=&item=110235394011&rd=1
