Anyone know of a fairly inexpensive way to put an electric wiper system in my 54 Buick? I've done a search and didn't see anything about this for a buick. I've read some threads about people using chevy wiper motors in pontiacs is there any such thing such for my Buick? Thanks -Zipp

I believe you have to put your engineers hat on for that one. I have also been searching for an easy swap for my '55 Special but they don't exist from what I found. Started thinking I would rebuild the old vacuum pump but it still sits on my bench waiting for me to do something with it.

    For now rain-x works okay....

I really just need to pay inspection so I can register this and since I'm fairly new around here I don't know anyone that would look past my wiper situation "if you know what I mean" lol. But it would be pretty handy to have them at least work in case I need them to. Guess I'll have to experiment

Try Newport Engineering. They make bolt up electric conversions for just about anything.

I used a Newport Engineering on my 56 Buick. A quick bolt on 2 speed wiper motor, works like a charm.

I see them for 55 Buicks on ebay for $209. I don't know anything about them but they say they are bolt in.
