There was one of those in a 4 foor convertible in a junk yard on the east side of Atlanta for years. I saw it about 1985-1988. Needed everything but saveable, barely. Then one day I went by the they had cushed out that area. Found the red ceramic hood emblem on the ground and knew it had not made it out alive.

Looking good! Well worth the work. It doesn't get much better than a 37 Zephyr. Maybe a 38, but maybe not.

As a fellow 37 Zephyr owner I have to comend you on your work work. A year or so ago I sold a 3 window coupe top to a fellow in Mn. who did the same type of conversion. I kick myself everyday for getting rid of that one as I have never been able to find another top. Keep up the good work and post progress pics often. I'd love to see it when it's done.

That was a great use of a clean 4 door sedan body and (what I ***ume was) a very rough 3 window coupe.

And really, nothing much went to waste. Save the 4 door sedan doors, someone might need them to fabricate coupe doors. Also save the section of the roof with the cool split window in it, someone will want that. Someone may even want those beat up fenders.

If nothing goes to waste, then it wasn't a shame at all to cut up the sedan. I like what I see, and a hopped up flathead 12 will be a kick-*** engine for the car. Well done.

Nice work! Where in WA are you?

I'm in Mt. Vernon, and have a 38 3 window thats REAL rough and a pretty decent 39 sedan. the original plan was to do what you're doing, but I think I'm going to attempt to build both cars at this point.

I'd like to come by and have a look-see at some point if you're anywhere near.

Very cool project! Nice work. Let me know if you would want to part with the steering wheel.

I love those style dashes. I am using a '38 lincoln in my 36:

37 Zephyrs are my favorite car ever. My buddy Russ (the Cisco Kid) did the same thing with a 4 door to make a coupe.

Looking good. I have a 37 4 door over in Eastern Wa. They are cool cars no matter what body style. I built mine 7 yrs ago with late Ford running gear but if I can help you with info or sourcing of the some of the body stuff give me a E mail. Hope to see it on the road. Bob
