same ch***is as pickup.. lots of aftermarket support. can easily be bagged.. (Front and rear)

    and the patina is perfect..

plus here in pa.. we would kill for rockers like that.

    it's a 63.

it's real solid for that year range.

well worth the price in states where they rusted out by 1970. :)

Looks like a deal to me. It would make an awesome hauler. I've been liking those more and more lately.

Grand seems cheap enough. I sold my '66 to a friend last year for $1200, totally driveable but way rusty, needing full rear quarters and rockers. A solid one like this should be worth more, plus I love the wraparound windshield.

I personally would go with a 60 hood and a 66 GMC grille but with the letters replaced with stars. Then bag it and call it a day.

that would have been mine already for a grand. an afternoon with some CLR and a few scotchbrites followed by a good buff/wax. CLR will get rid of 99% of that "staining" surface rust and give it awesome patina(logos should come back nice to). followed by a drop and some wheels. done. wish i could find one that solid here fo twice the price...ken....

A grand?! Give it to him NOW before he changes his mind.
I've got a '62. Paid $2,000 for it here on the HAMB and drove it home. It's a great truck, and I'm real happy with it, but it's nowhere near as straight as that one, and yours has less rust. That one also has the stock seats which are tuff to find, and it looks like at least one of the sliding window latches ($100 each when you can find them).
You need to go get that one. Now.

wow, it took 10 posts for Brad to answer :)

Yeah, a grand is probably a good deal if you want a nice Suburban to build. I've paid more for less.

    I'm a three-ring circus: '60-'66 Suburbans, '54 Buicks and 3spd OD manual transmissions.

that 63 would be a steal for a grand, just think of all the rust repair that you wouldn't have to do , or pay for!

Buy it! It looks really straight. And they're a blast to drive.

I just got a '66 for $900 with a rebuilt 292 (32,000 miles ago), factory posi, receipts dating to the 'seventies, including the original Service Parts Identification, rear seat, both slider latches... It's white too, and it's got a few more dings and a little less surface rust. But it's a solid daily-driver, and for what I paid for it, I scored!

I wish I could post a photo, but I'm a tad new to the HAMB. I ***ume I need a photobucket account... I'll put it on the to-do list.

Best of luck! I hope it pans out for you.

  17. yea the parts on there are worth the $1000. i have a '64 panel great haulers. and most of the dash/interior stuff is repo'ed, just the burb/panel stuff only isn't...............i like the eq for the radio :).
