lock shop in orange county

Discussion in 'The Hokey Ass Message Board' started by 1oldtimer, Oct 19, 2008.

  1. anyone know of and used a old time lock shop in orange county (southern is even better) that's good with automotive locks. i thought i might try orange lock and key on glassell (old towne orange = old time lock shop ?!? i hope). i want to get the ignition lock cylinder re-built and re-keyed, but i don't want to give it to just anyone to screw it up. i've tried to find a nos one but i'm not having much luck.

  2. anyone? either get it done or i start hitting book stores, ebay/craigslist and learn to do it myself (in my spare time of course )

I have used Orange Lock and Key in The Circle many, many times over the years. They did tons and tons of old VW stuff for me so I am sure the American stuff would be easy for them.
They were cheap and quick. But this was 18 years ago, so who knows.

  5. '47 ford car ignition lock cylinder. i called them and he sounds ok, so i'll go talk to him later on this week. it's sad, this is another dying breed......good locksmiths (the last guy i used passed away a few years ago).
