    Was wanting to tap the knowledge of the hamb once again. I'm building a 32 roadster 350/350 power combo, 9 inch ford rearend, 700 firestones. Need gear ratio recomendations?

    if you are going to run around town,a 3.70:1 is fun.if you plan alot of highway miles,run a 3.50:1

    3.0 to 3.70 depending on how much time you'll spend on the highway.

    Or get a couple of pumpkins and play around and see what you like.

    Get yourself a quick change and you can swap out your gears in less then five minutes and find something that you like while looking bad ***.

    I love the 3.42 or so ratio goes good in a light car and still can cruise @70+

    3.0 to 3.25 if it's mainly a street driver with some highway cruisin. 3.5 to 3.7 if very little highway, mainly around town and occasional drag runs. 4.11 if you're gonna do nothing but stop light to stop light and drag racing.
    If that tire is about 27" at 70 you'll get the following rpm;
    3.00 = 2613
    3.25 = 2831
    3.50 = 3049
    3.70 = 3233

    I'd say go with a 3.29:1-3.70:1 depending on your driving, highway, city.

    I ran 3.00's last year and switched to 3.50's this year. The 3.50's are a lot more fun, but increased my highway rpm's by approx 500. I was running around 2700 rpms at 70mph with the 3.00's, but now I'm around 3200. That's with a 1:1 final ratio ****** like your T-350.

    What is the cruise RPM band of the cam you are using? Cruise RPM - not max RPM. Maybe 2200-2800 for a typical mild cam. Gear it into the mid point of that band at whatever highway speed you think you'll cruise at. Without an OD and a mild engine, I'd guess 3.36 or 3.42.

    With those 700s I would go 3.25-3.50 for all around highway use.
