It was a $7000 find before the chizzlin' started......

Looks like a great old car. I think you were smart to buy it. Those cars, in that condition, are hard to find... & are getting harder & harder to afford.

You'll never regret buying that car.

The green book says it was printed in 1950 and it has a hand written note in the cover stating it was a Christmas gift from 1972! So, is it a reprint?

 

Nice find, I'd get it running good and drive the wheels off of it ! I like the fadded paint look.

What the big plan for the sedan

 

There are still boxes of parts filling in the interior, but here is a shot of the dash.

Right now the plan is to just enjoy working on it and getting it running. I did pay the full $7,000 because I knew it would be a no-deal otherwise. He did drag out about $1,000+ worth of parts though that I'm sure he would not have if I had nickel nad dimed him.

The back seat pulls forward at the top...so you can get quite abit of stuff behind it.

This car will be like a blank canvas to do what you want to... or leave it stock ?

Mine was in good shape and running when it was repowered with the 283.... the bodys never been off the frame.

Thanks guys for all of your support and info. I got a "hey! that's cute" from the wife when she saw it so that's encouraging. Thanks searcher for the heads-up on the rear seat folding forward. Now I can't wait to lok back there to see what's hiding since I know the son never looked back there!

 

James,The car looks like a great score,and will only be better after you get it running and driving under it's own power.You will never regret making this deal! That car just cleaned up and running would easily bring twice what you paid for it.
