    Hey HAMBers,
I stumbled across this site a couple of weeks ago and joined. Username is NashRodMan. I own a 37 Nash Lafayette 2 door trunk back, 53000 original miles. Just finished swapping the original rear (4.41:1 gears) with a more reasonable 12 bolt truck rear with 3.08 gears. Now I can do highway speeds. Next will be a dual master cyl. I also just picked up a 35 Ford 5 window coupe that needs but isn't that bad. I've never done a full rebuild of a car yet but always wanted to. Last vehicle is a somewhat hotrodded 1980 GMC stepside, that previous owner did a body off rebuild on it. I've since done mechanical work on it like replace the 307 with a 350, rebuil the T350 tranny and put in a shift kit and torque conv., drop springs in the front, and new Cooper Cobra tires. The truck is for sale to fund the Ford build. I'm in south eastern Mass, not far from the cape. The plans for the Ford are updated drivetrain (there ain't none right now), black hotrod primer, red steelies with trim rings and caps. I guess you'd call this traditional style. Of course I may change my mind on the color.
Hope to talk to you guys soon, I know some of you are in my area too.
    Thanks
    Paul

Thanks for the welcome guys. LSM, I'm right next door in mattapoisett. If I didn't have to fix my POC 95 S10 Blazer I'd probably go to the Star diner tonight. I was there about a month ago in my blue stepside. Do you ever go there? I may have seen your Merc. Does it have a dash/interior from a mid 80's Buick?
Anyway, I sure you guys can help with my Ford and Nash.
    Thanks
    Paul

PS Not sure if I did this right but I attached a pic of my truck. Don't have any of the Ford yet. Nash pics are coming.

Nope that's not me. Probably Hank if it's black. My 51 is white with silver/blue flames. I have been mostly using my 33 PU this lately. I hit star once in a while. Other than Star, you should also check out Rochester(mon), Sham-Rods in Bourne(tues), South Easton(thur), Hallifax(fri) if you haven't.
I'm sure I'll catch you around.

    LSM,
I'll have to check out Monday in Rochester. Does that happen at the place next to the town hall, ball field, and antique shop? I went to Shamrods last year for the last plaque night of the year.
    I'll see you around.

    Paul,
The Rochester cruise is in the Plumb Corner Mall parking lot. You can't miss it.
Bourne is every Tuesday and is one of the better ones around us. They will uasually pull in 300-700 cars depending on the night.
    Later, Keith

  12. Welcome, Nash dude. Of the cars that got away, one I regret not jumping on was a black 37 Nash LaFayette [sp] 2 door.
I happened on it while cruising the neighborhood in my nasty Rocky-33 ford pickup. It was sitting in the guy's yard with a crumpled right front fender. I'd been told the guy was slapped with a divorce and was selling everything he had cheap. He said he needed $2500 for it.....a good number 2 car. His kids had been playing in the car and accidently kicked it outa gear on a hill....rolled down into the tree line and the right front found the biggest tree in the group.
I looked it over, listened to the 6 banger run and said I'd get back to him....I snoozed and lost. It was sold the next day...good lookin cars. I think this had a flat back but did have an opening trunk.
