I like E&J headlights. I don't like pimento olives. Someone should rebel and put an A grill on a douche.
HEY EVERYONE I KNOW. It's a joke, you know sitting around with your buddys talking type of thought. I wouldn't put hardly any rare or overly expensive part on my car just cuz it may sit out side for weeks at a time. I'm not gonna do it, if I did get a winters grille a bird would fly into it the first week I had it. Or someone who hated E&J head lights would steal them. I was just thinking how fun it would be to borrow some rare part slap them on to a car put it in a show, to watch people say "some great parts but they don't look great together. It's funny I guess I did it without doing it. Sorry fellas Sincerely Jo King
Well- by your own admition- a 25 louver hood and a winterfront grill sound mutually exclusive. ie retarded. ie look at me and how much money I have and you don't. who cares? only them that get off on that one-up-man-shit care.
Agree ! Build the car the way YOU like, and not what you think others might like. Having too much of the "right parts" on a car gets to be a little too much. Just my opinion.
Nothing at all in my book ... I prefer the original big ole headlights and a original style grill. Here in the Southland ... I never saw a Pines Winter Front on a regular street driven type of old 32. We have no need for one. It rarely gets cold enough to need one. Winters are mild and we rarely ever even get snow. Same for the E&J lights. Never saw them ... until I got on the HAMB. Do not care for them. But ... that's what makes rodding so great ... Everyone can use what THEY like Chocolate or Vanilla ... you decide
Don't take this the wrong way....(don't you like a beginning statement like this!!) I like '32s as much as the next guy and I'm a big fan for seeing someone put "themselves" into their build. Good, bad, or ugly, at the very least I can respect that. I've been around rods for a longgg time and maybe that IS my problem but with so many 32's out there, I think it's like looking at a sea of the modern day mustangs or pt cruisers or ....(fill in the blank). When you come across one, you look, admire, think "cool!" and walk away....but then you see another....and another....and another...well you get the point. It's gott'n so bad that when I travel to the big shows, I find myself walking by the '32s and stopping at some of the cars that you rarely see...or like Decker stated before, it's the simple looking that seems to jump out at you. Unless, of course, someone does something so different to their car that it "screams look at me", but if they went that far, usually it really has gone overboard. I'm rambling at this point, but I really enjoy seeing someone put themselves into their car. Their unique ideas...how they made a mount or a bracket or their use of color, art, etc.. Point being...make it your car. No rules, no trying to make others happy, no following whatever trend is popular.....just make it yours. No matter what...I'll respect it! Good luck!!
Well .... I do have a 25 vent hood ... But the roadster has had one since the 60's ... photo taken in 1973 and they really do help with the cooling
Here E&J's with a winterfront and 25 louver hood. And more winterfronts with electroline headlights. Who says winterfronts are rare?
No matter what you bolt on your penis will NOT, I repeat NOT be any larger. If the additon manages to get her in bed rest assured the laughter that will follow will NOT be worth it. NEXT SUBJECT........................PLEASE. Frank
That's the only shot I took of it. Maybe the owner is a HAMB member. Taken at Ventura Fairgrounds run to the beach car show 2008 (in May?). He was parked between 2 buildings & I think it was a vender's space. I usually don't see very many winterfronts I care for but this one caught my eye. Maybe it was the brass looking vertical bars. I was shooting lots of grille pics back in April & May. I was going through a "replace my grille with something else" phase and almost bought an expensive Dan Fink grille. Ryan & Pete over at So-Cal slapped me back to reality.
Funny thing is, most women have no idea what a winterfront grill or E&J lights are. But if you tell them what they cost, moisture will ensue.
Believe it or not, you can put too many accessories on a really bitchin' car and screw it up. Let the important things like the car, the wheels and most important of all the stace speak loud. Besides: Gommi's cars look like gook wagons, he trinkets them out.
what he said ! I bet they threw away a bunch of those ugly ass winters grill`s that`s why there rare now . and those hood sides what ever
I work with a budget so maybe a set of real Navarro heads if your runnin a flattie. I myself would go 392 with 6 97s and a 4 speed. WIDE WHITES, slicks, chrome reverse, the early 60s look.
One thing that dosn't jive here is a winterfront grill "cold climate", mixed with a 25 louver hood "warm climate". I'd use one or the other not both, besides stance makes the car!
E&J's look cool on the Frank Mack 27!......for a slippery looking Hot Rod like Frank's......20 years ago I didn't think so, but they grew on me,......20 louver hoods were designed for style......25 louver hoods were designed to fix an over heating problem, and IMO look like too much of a good thing......25 lbs of shit in a 20 lb bag.......winterfront grills are quite stylish and would look good on a Hot Rod in the northern U.S., but for sure not with a 25 louver hood. AND less is more.....the poster car would be the Steve Moal blue 32.......100 slick things to look at, but it looks like a salesman's sample car, way too much of a good thing going on there.
