instead of paying for poor fitting panels, I usually make my own poor fitting panels

Yeah I like to do my own too but this is a compound curve and I think it might be just out of reach for my capabilities. If I can get a poor fitting panel, I'll have something to work with that I can m***age it to fit.

    Hey,

That should be a very easy panel to build with a bead/swaging machine!
If a shop can't help you out, try making a hammerform ,from plywood, and
using that as a form to build the part.

What is this bead/swaging machine you speak of, I have never heard of this before. I have a bead roller, a set of slip rolls and a press brake.

    Hey,
The "bead/swaging'' machine is nothing more than a beader, beading machine, bead roller. Swaging Machine is what the machine is called in the U.K. & OZ, perhaps other countries as well.
If you don't have a lathe to make custom beading dies, try using a drill press and a file. This makes a very low-tech die, but it does work, in a pinch! A hole saw, used in hard plastic, or very hard wood, works for a very low tech die, but for a one time, one shot deal, in thin sheet, will work.
I'd trace the quarter panel flange shape onto a piece or thin cardboard, cut the cardboard out and trace the shape onto a piece of 3/4 plywood or MDF. Use a router with a bit that most closely matches the shape of the quarter panels' shape Cut out some sheetmetal, say 19-20 gage, to match
the patch and sandwich it between another piece of plywood. Carefully form the metal with a calcking tool, around the shaped ply/MDF, and if you work carefully, will have a good looking part, to weld into your quarter.

  10. That area should be the same as a Chevrolet, they use the same body. I'd be surprised if no one makes a panel, if no one else has it I'm pretty sure EMS does.

for the beaded part, you could try using a piece of thin wall tubing...

It does and the guy goes for like 16-20 hrs - no ****

If your going, you should talk to him, describe what you want to do, send lots of pictures to him so when you get there you have the info in hand. Better yet bring your ride with you.

Check out the EMS website. They have photos of their parts posted so you can see if the part looks close enough to work.
