Just received the December 2008 Hot Rod Magazine in the mail today. I was flipping through it and saw NTAPHSE's Kaiser was chosen as one of the Top 10 Hot Rods of 2008!

Congrats, Keith! I love what you've done with that car and can't wait to see the finished product.

Here's a link to his build, here on the HAMB:

The Kaiser was also chosen as Best Kustom in the February issue of HRM, as part of the 'Homebuilt Heroes' contest.

Here are a couple pics stolen from Keith's build thread:

  7. Congrats! That is an amazing piece of steel going together!

Funny thing, was a a pals shop for a birthday/beer/pizza and one of our gang got a call of a junkyard full of these. Sounded like 40 of em and he asked me what they looked like. I referenced HotRod and this car as to WHAT they could look like!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Congratulations Keith, you deserve the honor for showing guys that anything can be re-cut into something cool. Actually exceptionally cool. This thing has become one of my favorite customs ever.

Haha, bust out the grinder man!

Thanks for all the compliments guys, its truly humbling.

  18. The work you have done and continue to do is inspiring to people.

You can be humble if you want, but there are enough people out there who are living vicariously through the things that people like you are doing instead of wishing about.

Congratulations on the press...now keep working on that thing!!!

This one is super killer, Thanx for the post Malcolm. A boneyard near Omaha has two of these in it, but its way over my head too create such a fine ride outa one. I have always been knocked out by the roof line dips front and back. Well deserved spread in the zine. Arriba!!~Sololobo~

I pined over your car in Hot Rod so many months ago. It is so great and you stepped out upon a limb and I love it. We need to find you a Fraizer to do next, then a Henry J, a 56 Hudson, Studebaker, 53 Packard, etc. You could be the King of the Kustom Independents as you know your lines.

I had it out at some shows last year but I've had it apart most of this year. I'm working hard right now to get it to Goodguys in November.

  28. love it more every time I see it. Congrats! (again)
