I recently aquired a NOS Harmon Collins cam. At least it looks that way. It has the Harman Collins logo followed by 635 with and engraved .5 at the end. (635.5). What can you tell me about this?

It came in a pile of parts including a Merc crank, dual point dist., rods, and new pistons. It looks like what you'd need for a stroker. Anyhow, what do I have? Thank you.

If Im not mistaken that is the H&C 6355 and it was known as the 411. If my memory does not fail me its a 411 lift flat tappet cam. The more popular high lift cam they ground was the 6372 which was know as the Harman and Collins 408 - a real**** kicker of a cam. I will try to confirm the specs for you but you should be able to get lift hieght with a mic or dial calipers
