Ok, who all is going?? I am going at least on Saturday... if you are interested, there is a group of meeting at 6 am at Stroud's in Mayflower for breakfast and then heading to LR at 7 am...
I have to be out of town. We have a friend out of state with terminal cancer. Dad might bring my car down for me.
BTW... for any HAMBers that are going to be at CruiseFest, be sure to look out for our new banner... We were able to get one printed up by oddrodgarage here on the HAMB with Ryan's approval... Here is a pic of what to look for.... I am supposed to have it on Wednesday... now we just need to figure out how to display it at CruiseFest since they don't allow canopies...
The canopy thing is because we've seen some go flying if the wind gets up. We don't want anybody's car getting smacked with flying debris! You'll be welcome to hang the banner most anywhere you can find a spot. Maybe on one of the fences? We've found that bungie cords come in handy for that.
I understand the reasoning behind the canopies... plus there isn't enough room by the time they stack the cars into the rivermarket...
We hope to leave more room this year and encourage people to use the west end of the park (down by the Main Street bridge) more. There's a ton of space down there for parking and we're making sure we have vendors and another stage for that end as well. I don't understand why everyone wants to jam into that grassy area inside the fence. I'll take the pavement and shade trees at the other end, thank you.
Pictures. I need pictures people! Sorry, our band had a gig this weekend. I just got in. Anyway, I hope it was a good turn out!
Where were you, James? We missed you. Car count was down this year. I suspect the economy and gas prices took their toll. As usual, I was too busy to take many photos but here's what I did get. I'm hoping some APA members can supply additional photos to update this gallery. http://www.arkansaspontiacs.org/2008BCF/index.htm
Thanks Chris! Sorry I couldn't make it. Our band was playing all weekend. Hey, do you need a good band for ya'll's next car show? Here's a link to our Myspace page. http://www.myspace.com/thesouthernpickinband
Rather rock out than hang with a bunch of gearheads? Man! Shoot me an email at critter@arkansaspontiacs.org. We'll talk.
