slowly getting the coupe smooth, got some more primer surfacer on and started knockin it down. hope to get it smooth enough to throw a sealer coat on in the next week or two. maybe even color... some day if I were a criminal this might be a good time to do the job as I have NO finger prints left!
Tell me it's going to be green metalflake or purple... Or Orange... like a big pumpkin... Nope! Orangeish-red... like Tony Nancy's cars... yea! With chrome headers, and chrome suspension! I love your car! Sam.
thanks guys, Sam, yeah I was thinkin' green, or purple, or red orange, or dark blue, or black, not white or yellow, maybe tourquois or aqua but not seafoam, maybe a light blue, or.... must be why it's been in primer FOREVER, I can't seem to make up my mind Paul
Paul...I can see it in a heavy metallic dark gold or bronze. The wide whites would contrast nicely with that paint..
I really think a copper-gold color, metallic but not flake would really set off the lines on that car.. kick ass man, I love it. TinyE
That car's getting uglier every time I see it. I think it would look good in magenta with baby blue graphics. Those wheels are kinda ugly too, how about some Champ 500s with raised white letter tires? Fingerprint regrowth can be accelerated by dishwashing, your wife will love you for it.
Short memory there Paul! The only time I have seen the coupe it was in bare metal. must be why it's been in primer FOREVER, I can't seem to make up my mind Paul [/ QUOTE ]
Looking good, Paul. I'm sure that whatever the final color is it will add to the overall LOOK that this car has. the one thing I've always liked about it is it isn't a cookie cutter car in any respect. It stands on it's own to the point that it could be almost any color and still stand out. OK, I'll throw in my suggestion, CANDY TANGERINE, there I've said it, now I'll just crawl back in my hole. Frank.

Pepto-Bismol pink and white two-tone, with some chrome sawblade wheels. Don't forget the neon under the body. Funny, I was flippin thru a ten-year-old copy of Custom Rodder the other night, and there's a pic of Paul's car at the unfinished nationals......and it looks about the SAME as it does now!
I say paint it that candy/lime/gold color. Its on some new inport cars. Looks like the same color from them 60s show cars. Greg

I originally thought something like dark blue from only seeing photos but after seeing it in real life that thing needs a candy 60's show car job and NOT gold probably not flake either. It will be a jaw dropper with paint, naked girls will be chasing you down the street.
[ QUOTE ] naked girls will be chasing you down the street. [/ QUOTE ] wouldn't be the first time, but like Nads gentle opinion of the car, the naked women were not the kind you want to stand around and get caught by and it does Not look just like it did ten years ago! it had radial tires and an Olds motor in it then! Paul
Are you going to get that primer dust all over the interior? It will take you 400044 years to get that out if you dont kick it choking on it!
I feel your pain, my brutha. I left about 300 bucks worth of primer on the floor of the shop...Block sanding sucks... I agree on the blue metal flake theory... See you at the Drags? -Abone.
what are you going to use to seal the primer surfacer while you wait to paint? thats right about where i am too...
