    Billetproof Texas July 25-26 2009
    Fireman's Park
    Hwy 290
    Giddings, TX

    Yeeeeee-Haaaa !!!! Its Billetproof TEXAS!

Yes, its in July, and yes it will be hot. So top off your radiator and bring sunscreen. There is plenty of shade at the fairgrounds, and the Giddings Firemen will be selling cold beer (proceeds to benefit the volunteer fire dept.). Giddings is between Austin and Houston on 290. Not too far from San Antonio either. Dallas/FW folk will have an enjoyable drive.

    2 day show!

Sat. July 25 show at the Fairgrounds:
    Burn out contest
    Live Bands
    Vendors
    Lots of shade

    Sat. July 25 evening:
There will be a party in town. Watch the Billetproof website for deatils.

    Sun. July 26
Reliability run in the Texas hills. We've got a great run for ya'll that takes in the scenic country side and will challenge your driving and your car.

more deatils, host hotel info, and registration will be on the Billetproof website in a few days.

Giddings? My very first Texas Christmas consisted of driving to Giddings, eating a lovely turky dinner (while the cowboy christian network played on TV), and drinking alot of beer. As the meal wrapped up, My girlfriends cousin came out of the bedroom with a small ****nal, ****ed a shotgun and asked "Who wants to shoot some ****?"

We went through hundreds of rounds.

    It was awesome.

    Cool! But why Giddings, TX?

  9. Wow, for once Marcy won't have to travel. ;)

There is some cool **** down that way, count me in.

  10. Just north of I-10, for the Hell-ouston and San antone folks, and a nice drive down from D/FW-Waco on US77.
Oh good for Victoria/Rockport/Corpus too, on US77.

Cool towns kinda lost in time all around and about an hour from Shiner.
So the Beer is fresh! ;)

    Ok...ok...ok.....

THAT is not a bad spot at all. We used to do our Oilfield Cookoffs down there in the 90's.

I call ******** on the shade trees though. I mean yes...they are "technically" trees but they've never offered a whole hell of a lot of shade. ;)

    Looking forward to it.

A friendly fairgrounds that has a place for a cool burnout contest, and will let us do it

enough hotels to support a bunch of hot rodders for a couple of nights

    mostly centrally located

good roads around town for a reliability run

some good BBQ in town :D

the shade isnt bad really. There are two LARGE covered pavilions that will be avail to us. The trees dont cover the entire grounds, but I would say about 25-30%, and do offer some pretty good shade.

If it looks like its going to be really hot I'll see about getting some of those big ****d swamp coolers to keep us all from p***ing out

  16. Sounds like a good time. It is going to be hot as hell, its Texas in July, not a whole lot you can do. I'll try to get my truck back on the road.

We're from Texas. We're pretty used to hot.

Sounds like it could be a great show. I like the location semi central to Dallas, Houston, Austin and San Antonio.

  20. Us Austin Hambers should cruise out together.

Can we get one in Indy? I had a blast in Florida last year but wont be able to make it next year. Glad to see things are obviously going well for you.

Wow, I wasn't expecting this; this will be very cool. Yeah it's hot, but that's when the beer tastes coldest.
