With the exception of retaining an early period I didn’t know what I wanted and finally this guy shows up on that parts auction site and for the 180 shipped was like wtf, buy them. Glad I did. Of course she hates them and is sticking to her earlier conclusion “I will never look good in that!” :)

They will go perfect with the copper and cream two tone. Retained the dash in the original root beer but trimmed out all the interior trim in copper, so they match up nicely. I am slowly becoming the proud owner of a station wagon. Funny. I never ever never growing up saw a station wagon in my future. Got to do my first launch last weekend and WOW!!! I can dig it….

Home this weekend so hopefully there will be some sun and they can be laid out and installed.

This was the interior I did for my 32 5w 4+ years ago. It was a NOS seat cover set for a 2 door 50's Mopar.I used the split front seat covers for the door panels.Total cost was less than $150.I don't have this in the car any longer , if you have a 32 5w and would like a an interior for it that looks 50's please contact me, it can be yours.........Z.D.

NOS, 1961. I am really surprised at the quality, not even near brittle or discolored, well except for the ugly plaid. These are vinyl or something, not cloth. Still, very new and solid and he includes instructions and hog rings.

Still not sure I want to keep this thing I feel the money was well spent. Calling around for interior is the same as a nice paint job anymore. These will do.

Cool!! Yeah--Ugly? all in the eye of the beholder. I bought several sets of these covers at a sale when my friends moved thier upholstry shop. I am having them cut them up for door panels and seat cover and am very excited about it . The covers are from mid 50's and in sweet shape. My interior came in gray or gray. So the black vinyl and black-gray-silver plaid is dead on for my beast. Hope I like it as much as I think I will!! I will try to post some pix when finished. I thought the coupe interior looked killer!! I enjoy recycling good useable products. So here goes nuthin!~Sololobo~

I got a pair, probably from the same load, that I figgin' love. They were going to be a temporary solution until I could save up for a an upolstery job, but I'm rethinking that now. If I could only find some of the plaid material for the door panels

Kind of what I'm thinking, but they also have a straight red border that I may incorporate. Found em on ebay, they seem to pop up pretty frequently and had a local upolsterer install them and rebuild the seats at the same time. I have to thank my wife, she found em' and pretty much insisted on em', I wasn't sure but it really sets the tone of the car. New seats for about 500.00 bucks. Heres a couple more and you can see the red vinyl on the bottom of the back seat.

  15. Those are friggin' *****in'...I have been bummed as I wasn't gonna be able to do the interior right away on my latest project, a 54 plymouth wagon/sedan delivery but this is definitely the route I will go for now if dying the seats doesn't turn out the way I like...very cool

  20. Western Auto used to have the coolest seat covers period !! Every old car my ol man brought home it was off to W-A for a 24-mo battery and a pair of those seat covers. Then break out a 6-pack of Hamms and the hog ring pliers. And oh yeah if the car was a 6-volt while we were at W-A a can of starting fluid was in store for those winter months also >>>>.

  25. I worked in an auto parts store called American Auto from 64 to 69. They had tons of these in stock and an installer on the premises. At one time folks would put them on new cars but by then they were covering worn seats in used cars. Wish I could remember the brand names.

You need to put some of those clear plastic covers with the raised bubbles overtop these. You know the ones that, because of the raised areas, were supposed to keep you cooler? I remember my Dad having them on his triple black 60 Olds. Sit on them with shorts on in the summer, and get a really neat burn pattern on the bare areas.

These seat covers are all cool. I have about a dozen sets for sale, green, brown, tan,. I will be putting them an the cl***ified next couple weeks. Our buddy Kirk Jones/ GoodGuys Gazette publisher/photographer has a bunch on e-bay right now. Selling mostly for under 15.00 a pair. The great set in geemanns51 are rare, they were the souped up style with roll and pleat style and piping trim as well as the custom v-shapes to the white. The plaid was for mom & pop everyday family car. They just give me a great nostalgia buzz!!~Sololobo~

geemann51, very nice!!! my covers can not will not compare to those. Beautiful!!! a drunk naked alley dead of winter living Scotsman would turn my plaid down. The quality of your covers is very apparent. Nice work.

The thread Ryan posted awhile back (still have the pictures saved) first led me to pricing interiors and a lot of "wtf?! you want what?" questions. Don't want to pay that yet.

I had black/white hound’s-tooth cloth inserts in my ’66 Malibu and if I keep this ‘55 will do the same color oriented.
