So guitarist, Johnny A was in town so I drove my Chevy to the gig and ended up meeting up with the band and give them a ride. Check it out:
johnny A rocks. I have his CD here somewhere. I think I've heard him on KKSF here in the Bay Area, but I found his CD in the used Blues section .. go figure.
Hey man, ignore the fashion police over there! haha Its always cool to meet a hero - especially if they dig old cars, are humble enough to hang out and go for a cruise!! nooch
First of all.....did he get 'Lucky 13'...........ohhhhh I couldn't resist.... Second, i don't know who he is, but many years ago, when my dad was an Oldies But Goodies DJ, and we were at a Show in Charlotte,NC.... Bill Pinckney of the original Drifters was in our 77 Monte Carlo. My dad knew him well. He had a case of laryngitis, and my dad took him down to the store to get some honey and whole lemon's to help with it so he could sing that night. There were many more that he knew personally too! But that was the only one I ever knew of in our car. Mott
Don't know Johhny A,"cause i'am old", but to have anybody in the BIZ in your ride has to be unforgetable. sam
