No, it is not. Jummy's truck wasn't as cool as that one. His truck is just goofy. Just my oppinion.

  2. One ton fenders are not the same. They are bigger. I am building a '37 and it's been taking so long, I did the same thing you did- thought fenderless at first, then woke up...the '35-'37 Fords are very hard to get "right" fenderless. just my opinion. I'll post some picts of my truck once I'm back in the states. You got any picts of the '36?

BTW- finding steel fenders that are in not in need of major work is getting real hard.

  3. Ditto Burny. But at least....you can get glass ones.

GLASS!!!??? No way, i would rather go fenderless, or make my own!! lol. i am going for classic, period correct, traditional, or whatever you wanna call it. Glass has no business being on my truck!

  5. Hey, didn't say do it, just said they're available. And I think we've established that "classic, period correct, traditional" as you say, does not equal fenderless on a truck. But we call it a free world so it's your choice in the end.

Hiding 'glass fenders on your truck is better then running it without fenders at all...

  10. If you are building a traditional truck, you can't go fenderless, Dude. They didn't exist that way for a truck after '34. Just my $.02, but I'd be a little less worried about fiberglass. There are plenty of '35 to '37 traditional trucks (and cars for that matter) running fiberglass fenders. You'd never know it.

Dude that truck kicks ass. It looks black in these picks but in person it is the darkest blue you have ever seen. I heard they made the hood out of aluminum and then had it louvered, no bodo on it!! Nothing looks better than chrome hemi valve covers and chrome headers!

Im not saying im going to go fenderless, i have made up my mind on that, just that i don't want glass on my truck. anyone can call some company and order some glass fenders, but it takes true love for the hobby we call hotrodding to take a half crumpled, half rotted fender and turn it into something we can use. Dot get me wrong, I would much rather have a steel fender that i have to put minimal work into but if i don't come across one then i have to do what i have to do.

I have a vision of what i want to do in my head now and want to stay true to it. You also said people would never know if i am running glass fenders. True, but I would. I have changed my mind 100 times on my prior projects and none of them came out the way i wanted. This time i am going stay true to my vision and not allow any changes.Thats all...

Thanks everyone for the great pics. Keep em coming!

Unfortunately, I did mine 80s style, but I hope to change some things of it if I dont sell it 1st. But if I were to build another one, Id still put the fenders on it!
