I just this last week had my new front tires mounted on my "vintage" (read used) - American Racing 200s. They are on my 55 Dodge 1/2 ton steer axle. The lugs the seller sent are ok for the time being, two different styles. I could not get away with using only one washer with one lug, I had to use two washers to space it out enough to torque the wheel on properly.

See the pic, the front rotor application is Mopar / Ford 5x 4.5 rotor is from a 73-up Dart, Volare, Aspen, etc.

The shank of both nut styles is 3/4", is there a shorter shank available? or are two washers appropriate? Never had mags before so excuse my ignorance? Used to plain steel rims only...I used the style of nut to the left to mount the first rim, did not mount the second rim yet.

Any advice would be super !

    Best,
    Derek

You're on the right website for advice, that's for sure. I have been to autozone and they have a lot of different styles of lug nuts. Mcgard used to sell stainless steel lug nuts which I would use if possible. Be careful of some autozone lugs, as they appear to be chrome plated alum with steel threaded insert-kind of cheap so look at them closely. For the short term, you could grind some of the length down so you don't have to stack washers, just make sure there is enough thread inside that it doesn't bottom out before the nut gets tight. I'm sure someone here can give you a part number and source. I need some too for a set of 200s. I'm looking for nice 15x7 chevy 200s wheels as well. Good luck

Go to "thelugnutking.com" for a huge ***ortment of lug nuts. The guy that owns this place is on top of his game and very customer friendly. I've bought from him on several occ***ions and have never been dissatisfied.
