Hey Garage?? Any relation to Gassers Garage in Lomita?

 

Yeah, they are my friends. Joe, Curt, Keith and Erick. That's where I got the idea for my handle, plus I love gassers. Funny, everytime something old comes in, like a banjo rr or flathead, they have to wait for Joe to show up. He teachs them how to fix it.

You got it. Kurt has a Cobra and Keith is working on a pro street '63 Impala.

 

He's one of the legend of drag racing that was looked over in the magizines, i've heard a lot here and there about him, but really too young to know anything about him, but i'd love to read up on him, is there any full historys online anywhere??

I remeber i was like 9 or 10 and saw in an old magazine even then an ad that had his car in it, and at that time i really was into the winged cars, the picture kinda stuck with me

Yes I remember this dragstrip well. During the mid 90's I was there almost every weekend racing my 67 chevelle.Damn I miss that place,sure wish we had somewhere like that today not any of this eighth mile stuff. It was just a fun place to go to if you were into horsepower. Everything cool has to get ruined.

 

Big Willie is still around.
