i really would like to have a 40 ford coupe...black with steelies and maebe with a 392 hemi..thats a dream car,but i hope to build a 31 vicky someday with a smallblock...
I am building the car of my dreams, actually both of the cars of my dreams[see pic]. But with that aside I would love to own a cheetah, or a cobra coupe.
Jim....every since I first saw a 35-37 Hupmobile 3 window coupe, I've wanted one. Love the weird top and the droopy-eye headlights Second choice is the very car I own...a 34 ford coupe.
got mine---took a lot of years but---55 BelAir and 40 Ford Deluxe coupe--no need for anything fancier or more exotic for me
I'll have to agree with DrJ. The Early E-type roadsters were some of the best looking cars ever built. That big beautiful 6, the steering wheel, the dash, the interior, the wire wheels. the entire car took my breath away the first time I saw one up close. I never recovered.
mine when im done.............just repainted it glossy pearl white/put mcculloch supercharger on it/just need a columbia rear and ill be in love!
I would want an Oldsmobile rocket 88 I guess Isnt that the car jerry lee lewis gave preacher man swaggart in the movie great balls of fire? That was a NICE convertible.I would like to have one of those if it had to be an old one but....... I was born in 1974 so my Dream car is a 1974 Pontiac Trans am SD-455 4 speed that is the hardest car to find also...unless you have a couple hundred thousand?
jensen CV8 always wanted one since i went for a drive in one on a friends farm. 440 + smallish english car = fun
If I could have only one car... I'd want it to do it all. First thought it's be one of the new Camaros... with a hopped up LS1... a streetable 700hp would be nice. But then I couldn't haul anything... and I'd be sad. So, I'd take my 200 Chevy Silverado... with the streetable 700hp LS1 I'm dreaming about. Sam
Only one car; A stroked and supercharged '50s Mopar with fins. Guess I'll have to build my own, which is just what I'm going to do in the near future. And as for Why; Why not?
Check the classifieds there's a Columbia there now. http://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/showthread.php?t=304386
I just read this thread from begining to end and I am quite surprised. Alot of you guys must have really good jobs and nice houses. Not only is most of this stuff impractical but alot of it's not even Hamb friendly. I don't care what you like but I'm a little concerned that there might be some kind of illness going around!
I really want our family car back from the 70's. 1974 Caprice Estate Wagon, 400 4bbl. Bronze Metallic, with Black vinyl interior, full power gate, windows, and door locks. For a big car it ran like a champ, and remember when I passed my drivers test in it. I also remember taking it out for drives after washing it for my old man, and taking it out on the highway to see how fast I could get it to go..and watch the gas gage dip as the speedo increased Othewise its hard to narrow down to one for a certain cool factor. I am building a 32, I have my first hotrod 39 chevy coupe, I have a barris batmobile body and related items. Another project. So like some, as long as you had one of the ones you wanted for awhile it works.
