Well the kids in shop have been busy working on our '46 ford coupe - got the firewall and floors just about done. Just ordered and am very anxiously awaiting our Welder Series MII front crossmember.
Next will be figuring our engine/trans, rearend mounting What, how have you guys mounted SBCs/T350, parallel leaf springs in this era Ford? I see that Chassis Engineering offers engine and trans mounts fairly reasonable and am pretty sure we will make are own brackets to mount the rear. Just wondering if you guys have found any better or differend way, just kinda kicking around some ideas, thanks!

Dan, I can't remember if we talked about motor mounts or not...

Please let me know if you have any questions about the front end install.

Well the front end arrived and it is awesome quality, the instructions and videos are excellent! The quality, service and price of the Welder Series front end is awesome!

Mocked it up to the frame to check fit, placement etc. Still need to finish weld the parts, box the frame and so on - wanted to set it in place so we could build our motor mounts. Never mind the horrible tack welds, I ran out of gas, they'll hold well enough for mocking up this portion of the build.

I am totally pleased with the WS product, it damn near built itself - I'll try and post more pics as we progress, thanks-

Title says merc, in your post it says Ford. I hope you know hte merc has a longer wheelbase, so you cant go by the ford dimensions if your using merc sheetmetal.

im not up om all the differences in the frame other than the wheelbase being different,
