Ordered parts last week, cant even get a ship date, or estimated ship date. Wont answer emails or return calls. I did get a response after emailing them through Ebay (this was a non ebay deal) said he was out of town, would Ship monday, that never happened. Anyways, does anyone have a way to get in contact with them. Better yet if someone lives nearby (Londoderry, NH) I would glady compensate if you could go there and get my parts. Mainly the window channels, that is the part I need the most. I ordered from them over Mac's (where I have been doing my A buisness) because they were closest to Maine and figured less turnaround time, yea right! So can anyone help? Is this typical of there service?
"Is this typical of there service?" Through personal experience, yes.I had to go through Ebay dispute process to get my stuff. Paul
wish i had read this post earlier, i know it's an old post but i just ordered from them two weeks ago and can't get any calls thru to them and they wont answer their emails still in 2011. the charged my c.c. two days ago but the web site says my order is still pending. from now on i'll check anyone out on the hamb before giving any of my buisness.
I dealt with them twice now and both times he was OK. Seems he is away from his business often which could be a problem. Nobody is that special in business, that if they dont deliver there is always somebody else keen to pick up new customers.
I bought some cowl lamps from them and they took forever to send them. Quick shipping does not seem to be their strong suit.
Do not buy from this guy! He tells you he has shipped the product, but won't provide a tracking number...then goes quiet! I bought a pair of '32 mirrors for $75...never received them after numerous requests via email and voice messages. Then, submitted a dispute with PayPal...still nothing! Anyone live near his shop? Any suggestions? Thanks, Dave
My dealings with Sullivan's Garage were sour. Ordered a '40 ford trunk mat, his listing showed several in stock, payed with paypal and waited. Six emails thru ebay over 30 days got nothing but promises. He finally refunded my money and made another promise of 50% off when they come in. Nothing has come of that promise as well. Don
Similar experience with Sullivans as above. However, I finally did get the dropped 32 headlight bar I ordered. Said they had 10 in stock on Ebay but really didn't have any and he said he had them back ordered. Never could get a tracking number but I finally got it about 5 weeks later. I won't be buying any more items from Sullivans.
here's a clue for you guys. if a seller has 26 neutrals and 25 negatives from 1834 feedback in the last year there is a good chance you will have problems. not sure why people don't look at feedback. if you didn't buy from ebay then that's different.
I also dealt with them a few years ago and it was a one time experiece. I ordered a set of hubcaps for a 36 Ford and they told me they were in stock so i paid them immediately. A month later and still no hubcaps, so i emailed them and to make a long story short (and several emails later) i received my hubcaps exactly one year later. So no more Sullivan's Garage for me.
Be advised that the USPS does pursue mail fraud cases with a vengenge. If ordering by phone is considered "mail order" I'd guess on line orders are considered that too.
I dealt with him several years ago when he was trying to get this business going. I ordered a few parts w/o incident. Back then he was very busy with his "real" job. He won't last if this is how it is going to be now! Believe it or not if need be....we have the power to put people out of business!
......Only order one time from them....no problems.....but a good friend had a lot of trouble with his order....took weeks to settle it.....after that....guess I think twice before ordering again
So you will know, there are Federal laws covering mail-order deliveries, etc. The seller has but 30 days to deliver the order or refund the money unless he has given you written notice of a back-order situation and has your written approval, a**** other requirements.
Thanks to all of you guys about Sullivansgarage. $579 didn't sound bad for a 32 stainless grill and steel shell made in America and not China junk. Glad I found out it probably was junk and I may not have gotten it. Brent
