    Don't miss the fules sessions!!!!!!!!

Everyone has a preference on where to sit. I sit at the finish. Cars at maximum velocity, I can see who wins, barely see the big screen for instant replay purposes, and the most likely point of detonation should it happen. Should be a great race. Champs will be crowned.

I bought my seats months ago, but reserved seats were not anymore available for full time p***es (4 days) even then. All I could choose was "best available" which can apparently be anything from start to finish.

It's just my first time in Pomona, so the place is new for me but I've been in races both driving and wrenching for 25 years. It will be a blast to see the big boyz, not to mention Ashley, Hillary and Melanie...

Bring lots of water like they said, opps that's not water!! lol
We sit at the 1000ft mark and see all the action. Best to park at the Museum or some place else, getting out of the parking lot is a joke...

While your here, you might want to see John Force's Place, he has a pretty good car show there once a month in Yorba Linda..

I've been on the starting line, and in the middle, but my favorite spot is at the end! You used to be able to sit at the stands at the end,but the last few times i've gone they were closed. I sit at the top of the stands,so I can see everything. I'm gonna try to go on saturday.

Thanks a lot guys, that parking tip is golden. I'm gonna see the museum earlier on the week to avoid growd. Long beach swap seems to be the weekend before, and Petersen museum and all the shops and maybe a trip to Vegas will keep me busy during my vacation.

I will try to negotiate (read beg and ruin) top end seats when picking my tickets from will call. I've spent most of my time at the stages, only watching the finish line behind the wheel, so for a change it would be nice to sit there. There's couple of european guys I know racing also, so some time will be spent in the pits as usual.

Another must in the area is the Early Ford Store just a couple miles away in San Dimas. The collection of vintage tin, and old speed equipment will blow your mind.

I'm going Friday. Some buddies and I play golf across the street at the crack of dawn. Then have a BBQ lunch in the TEC parking lot before going in to watch the pros. run. If you see a few fat farts cooking lunch on the tailgate of a pick up truck just out side the north pit fence, stop in. There will be plenty of food and cold beer. Don't forget the secret HAMB handshake.

  14. It's been warm here in SoCal but luckily the weather has cooled a bit...still take alot of water...refreshments there aren't cheap and it does get hot...won't be going this time...hope you enjoy it

Oh ya, don't forget to wear supportive undergarments to keep your nuts from clanking together when the fuel cars run.

Crazydaddyo thanks for the invite, but you need to teach me that secret HAMB handshake first so I don't get punched into nose:) I'll let my wife hold my precious balls when fuelers thunder, hopefully that's not a crime to do in public.

  17. Our son [Nick Shaff] works full time for Tim Wilkerson. He does the cylinder heads. We are flying out that Thursday and spending Friday thru Sunday at the track. Its not every day your son might be part of the 2008 Funny Car World Champion!

Good luck to Tim and your son. I like that It is an owner/driver/tunner/1 car team that is going to win (I hope) the flopper division this year.

I've got freinds that work for Force, but I don't think any of the Force cars will be able to do what it take this year.

FinnishFireball - I'll show you the secret if you show up. Look for the guy in the tan HAMB hat.

Hey Matt that's great, thumbs up for your son and Tim. J.F is my hero of all times, but not him or any of his team will nail it this year.

Crazydaddy, it would be a blast to meet you guys, but we'll see.

Allright guys now it's only couple hours of sleep (it's 9 P.M here), first plane takes off at 6 a.m and after 19 hours of flying I'm ready to concure SoCal, watchout for a Finn! Plenty of time to get drunk in Covina tomorrow eve and then hit the Long Beach swap early sunday morning, ***uming there's no surprises or route changes for flights.

    Crazydaddy I wan't mine well done:D
