    Cool looking Blower...

    Congrats.

If it needs to be Rebuilt, PM me so I can tell you who NOT to bring it too.

That might save you the Expensive Mistake I made with my VS57...

    Yeah, on a SBC.

Not hard at all, just some parts were Expensive ( like the Bracket it mounts too) and the 1st Rebuilt was expensive too ( and it didn't last...)

I have the Numbers of the Cam to get, and everything...

P/M me when you are at that stage, and I'll look it up.

  11. I had to build my own drive to put it on an 8BA . Had to cut apart 2 lower pulleys and made 1 with same diameter grooves instead of 2 sizes like stock. Oil is supplied by a fitting where the oil pressure guage line hooks in. Return line dumps into the manifold at the rear. Here are a few pics.....

  12. Forgot to mention someone had filled in the water fittings on mine. I have been running it dry for years with no problems. The copper line with the loops in it goes to a vacuum/boost guage. It puts out 3 pounds when it's really wound up. 80% of the time it is putting out no boost.

The prewar McCulloch superchargers usually had radiator water plumbed to the castings to heat the air/fuel mixture. This was needed in the cold weather climates to help the engine start and run smoothly. In most places the water is not needed except with the models where the castings were part of the water hose system. Yours is not that model. I live in Southern California and I have beening running my McCulloch blown '40 Ford flathead for 19 years without the water heating (attached). As stated above mine also puts about 3 psi when you wind it up. They make a good conversation piece. Incidently in the 1940s they were often called "cream separators" because they actually look like one. Have fun with it. Don

  20. About the oil inlet. The pipe on yours that attaches to the rear of the bearing and the lowest fitting should have a T fitting in the middle of it. That is the oil feed that comes from the rear of the block.

What kind of engine mods are required to run that thing? Can the stock bottom end handle it?

Let me know if you can get a deal on 2 and ill get one for my coupe.

  28. Here are a bunch of pics of the belt adjusting setup I built for my 8ba. The pulleys were flathead stuff with modified brackets but I don't remember if I cut fans off them, I might have. This unit mounts to the front of the McCulloch manifold.....

    Sorry about the blurry one.
