looking to find German Hamb member to forward a part to me in the USA...bought a grille for my fiat topolino off ebay, but shipper will not ship it over seas......is already paid for..would pay for the shipping before you shipped it..would also ask that you check to ensure the item is packaged well enough to make a safe trip to America..i have a back up plan to get it shipped thru the Netherlands, but it would be cheaper to ship a shorter distance from seller to member who would be willing to forward it to me in America..grille is 29 inches wide, 23 inches thick, 40 inches tall and weighs maybe 15 pounds..thanks mark
My buddy I was talking bout is new to Hamb.... but an old trust worthy friend. I just Pm'ed him, hopefully he'll write to us soon and help. I do need to go over this winter if your not in a rush, could bring it back as well.
Yeah here I am the buddy from Mel, I can help you if you like. Contact me by e-mail mikebraun1@freenet.de Mike

You might ask at the local High School if they have a German exchange program. My daughter brought back Harley parts for me years ago.
Don't hesitate to ask here, on this forum: http://www.oith.de/forum/phpBB2/ a kind of german hamb. Mostly german hamb members are also on this message board.
Mike Braun roolz... Expert metal man of Germany!!! He makes good schnitzel too! Good luck man, anything for the good people of the Hamb!
you might want to check German Post and see if its a size that can be shipped in the post to the USA , otherwise it will need to go in someones container or Fed EX-DHL -UPS
Well i can tell you i sent a Topolino grille to the USA 2 or 3 years ago by Priority Airmail at this end so it eventually got delivered by USPS. Packed in thick cardboard that followed the contour of the grille it looked like a baby bathtub and was just inside the maximum size allowed at that time.
been trying to check on the costs, but can only guess on the weight..i have a dash getting shipped here for the topo, which is long and probably a tad heavier, from switzerland for about $60 usd....measured my grille/nose and figured it should be about $75-$80 usd for the grille thru usps...........i guess it all depends on how it is packaged.......was hopeing to find a roof center that could be cut out and split and shipped to me from europe, but so far that is running up on dead end,,seen several on a post here of some topolino's setting around in france i think it was, but can find nothing out on them...my topo is a factory coupe, and plan on it haveing a full roof again...looking like it is going to have to be fabbed by one of the tin knockers here..mark...
Were the heck is Bluto???????? He's into those things. A guy that can get a canoe shipped from France to LA as luggage would have no problem with these Micky Mouse parts.
Mr Bluto hooked me up with a guy in the Netherlands to help ship..just trying to cut cost and get it shipped directly from germany, instead of passing it around continnental europe..work has been slow and my budget is down..but then, who's aint??????????
Who the heck has a budget anymore??? I've got plants and friends in Germany if all else fails and I'm not too far from you. Make sure you've got the customs things straight. I got some stuff for Langy and he got dinged by customs something vicious.
It's a used part. As long as the sender in Germany fills out the customs form correctly and it's mailed not shipped. Your mail carrier brings it and you pay them the customs first $100 doesn't count most times. Sometimes customs gets excited generally over stuff and it slows their process. Then it takes time. Duty is still .05% on old parts I think.
