Don't know the owner, but my buddy Bill built that car, and sold it to a guy out that way a couple months ago.

That was little ol me, you were in the white tuner car with the black wheels! How cool, here I was checking out your ride and you were looking at mine, thanks! I had the bags pumped up, looks better with it lower.

zman...... Hood? cars don't need no stinkin hoods ;)!

Yes Grumpy, I bought it from Bill 4th of July weekend, He sure was a nice guy to deal with. I tried to call him twice over the past few months and his phone said his voice mail was full. After I bought it, the pump went bad, so I redid alot of that stuff, with a double pump set up, with relays, fuses and all that stuff, gutted the interior, did hushmat, and redid the rear back panels. He'll get a kick out of this, I stil haven't gotten to redo the front doors yet, they're still the bamboo. If you see him, tell him I'm ejoyin the sh*t out of it, and drving it the same.

I figured thats probably where you were coming from so I joined and posted the pic. My bro and I about-shit when we saw your reply, and so soon. Good stuff, your weekend rig is fuckin beast looking rolling down the road. How is the ride with the bags?

Yes, it is a very cool ride but IMO it needs to have a hood to keep the lines flowing. It is not my car though so.....

Put a hood on it. You are driving the automotive equivilent of walking aroud with yer pants unzipped. But it is a cool ride.

Funny.....I didn't see anybody asking for opinions on the hood.

It seems like more and more people are cutting peoples cars down on here for no reason. I could see if he asked for opinions on it...... but just adding a negative opinion out of the blue is rude. I doubt most would do it in person at a car show.

Yes I know Biffster and am standing up for him. He's a nice guy with lots of enthusiasm towards the cars.

The negative comments are just getting old! It's ruining the HAMB.

No hoods look cool. My '39 ran without a hood for awhile since I was always under it I just took it off!

  25. That's a cool car! What's the roof rack from? VW Transporter?

I'll answer some of the questions, because I'm friends with the builder.

The running boards are metal, just not stock. He built them.

The roof rack is conduit or similar pipe bent and welded, and the weave is old lawn chair stuff.

And for whats its worth, I like it hoodless. Bill had it in his mind from the very beginning that it would be sans hood.

I think it looks bitchin, hood or no hood. The stance and ride height looks really nice to me. I'm not much for the slammed to the ground look myself, but do love a cool stance and this one has it at highway speeds. And I love the board on the roof....
