Here are a few more pictures. I got there late and got parked before I found ther HAMB area. It was full by then anyway, oh well. What was the engine in that yellow & black Model A, I'm guessing 394 Olds?

Thanks to Hot Rod Surfer for welcoming me a spot with the Hamber's. "The Fugitive" Model A Hot Rod was proud to hang. My son Kenny was tied up and couldn't get there early. I was happy with a spot anywhere, but thanks Shadow for making room for us. Goldy

 

Thanks for posting the pics.

Not really a WTF vehicle in site (not even in the back ground). Was there no "ratrods" to be found to waste good pictures on?

I would have liked to been there it looks like a fun time and nice rides.

I saw what I thought were rat rods, and I thought that they were pretty cool. Maybe I don't really know what makes a rat rod. What are the qualifications for a rat rod??
I brought brought a funnycar that was lettered on the gelcoat, no paint. Does that make it a funnyrat or is it just rat funny, it should qualify because it has a 427 "RAT" motor. Ha Ha! Goldy

 

The Shadow , do you have any other old pictures that you could share with us from Vargo ? It would be cool to see what the rest of the track looked like back in the day. I have always said that I was born to late and missed out on all the good years of drag racing , I am only 37 . Todays racing other than the NSS stuff is just boring.

 

I don't think it was for sale, thats just the show information in the window.....

 

Did you check out any of the picture albums up by the t-shirt stand. All I could say was wow when looking through those.

 

carl,we would have squezzed you in some where we had cars on the gr*** behind us,cars double parked ,the pa kids roadster tripled parked in front,it was nuts!!!

I can scan a few when I get a chance, I have video of Vargo too, if I could find out how to upload it to the net I would? My buddy bought 4000 color and black & white pics from the widow of the track photographer (who obviously died), I went threw a few hundred and almost went blind...8 years of pics from every weekend & event!

thanx for the great shots, i was vending all day and glad to say i could not leave i was so busy. Glad for your pictures so I could see what I did,nt get to see. Did not even to the Hamb area.
