Well if you can't run it than even if the oil isn't milky that doesn't mean there isn't water in it. Hell I'd say just keep going with it. Block off where the water was comming out of and go with it.
On SBCs there is a place where back when they were mounted from the front the hole for the bolt when though the oil p***age. Now thats just an accessory bolt hole, but still goes into the oil p***age. May be the same sort of thing on the nailhead.

    Good luck!

You are an idiot. A narrow minded and highly opinionated idiot.

Nailheads aren't as common as SBC's. The newest NH's are nearly 40 years old. They aren't as cheap to build as a SBC, nothing is. However a properly tuned NH will promptly had you your walkin papers. I'd love to watch one of us Nailheaders do it.

Sounds to me like someone put too long a bolt in the block, and it bottomed out and broke through to the water jacket.

You could try sealing it up well with blue glue, but yes, your block is definitely damaged.

Use a sealant. Run the bolt back in and pressure test. And oil sits on top of coolant/water mixture. So you should get coolant first when you open the drain plug.

    Good luck!
