Picked it up for $25, and it works. Just have to s****e off multiple coats of rolled on black house paint. The chrome is even in good shape under the paint.

Nice price. Dig the handle/hardware. #0000 steel wool will work nice on the shiney metal.

I bought one at an estate sale three weeks ago. It is an old Frididaire and nearly identical to yours. No body wanted it, and they let me have it for 5 bucks. It runs great. I'm trying to find a new door seal for it. If anyone knows of a source of parts for these things, let me know.

I have an old General Electric fridge(late 50's- early 60's) that I got from my mother. She got rid of it because it kept things too cold. My mother-in-law has an old Hotpoint(I think that's what it is)that she is getting rid of. The dog chewed the plug off it so she said it was junk. Somebody had a thread on here of one that they painted with HOC paint. later plmczy

I haven't found an old one to paint yet but I have been painting & selling custom fridges for about a year now. I'll get some pics. The latest is the General Lee with the rebel flag on the front!! [IMG]
